    Job Title: Safety Representative** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Representative to join our team. The role involves performing orientations, conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), leading safety meetings, and managing safety protocols for both internal teams and subcontractors.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors.

    + Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to identify and mitigate risks.

    + Lead regular safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.

    + Oversee and ensure compliance with safety protocols for internal and subcontractor teams.

    + Monitor and enforce adherence to OSHA, health, and safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in safety or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction safety role.

    + Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction safety role and completion of the OSHA 500 Training Course.

    + Or, a CHST designation with a minimum of four years of experience in a construction safety role.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance.

    + Proven ability to lead and conduct safety meetings effectively.

    + Excellent communication skills for conducting orientations and training sessions.

    Work Environment

    This role is part of a coal ash removal project, with work hours from 6:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The project involves civil construction and trenching activities. A per diem of $125 per day is provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bremo Bluff, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
