    No Experience Required - Racker - Anodize Department

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated individuals for Racker positions in the anodizing and general plate department at a large metal finishing facility in Newport Beach, CA. Positions are available for both 1st shift (6am to 2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm). This role involves supporting the anodize department by preparing parts for operators, including racking, un-racking, part surface preparation, moving parts, and visual inspection.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide support to the anodize department and other processes.

    + Assist in racking and un-racking parts.

    + Prepare parts for processing.

    + Inform management of quality issues.

    + Perform in-process visual inspections.

    + Support racking operations.

    + Follow all safety policies and procedures.

    + Conduct receiving inspections including counting and visual inspection.

    + Maintain a clean and organized department daily.

    + Process parts in accordance with customer requirements, procedures, work instructions, and job traveler to ensure part conformity.

    Essential Skills

    + Basic blueprint reading skills.

    + Good communication skills.

    + Ability to read and write in English.

    + Legible handwriting.

    + Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

    + Use of inspection equipment like calipers, micrometer, mechanical gauges, x-ray, and thickness gauges.

    + Basic mathematics skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Inspection, production, general labor, racking, packing, material handling, part preparation.

    + Willingness to learn and improve skills.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility comprises six different buildings, each with distinct steps in the metal finishing process. It can be loud in certain departments and there may be chemical odors in others. Be prepared for a lively and engaging work environment with diverse tasks.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
