A Snapshot of Your Day(position overview)
The Generator Operations
Engineer leads teams to develop new processes, tools and procedures to
implement maintenance plans for the generator fleet. This position will be
responsible for managing complex R&D projects, cost reduction and
standardization efforts.
The Operations Engineer
will also support the District Service Offices in developing generic and
site-specific outage plans including occasional outage execution. The position
requires occasional travel to project sites to participate in field walk-downs,
TMS meetings and outage support as determined by the DSO. If requested by the
DSO, the role may lead a crew to perform scopes of work associated with the
generator.
How You’ll Make anImpact (responsibilities)
+ Responsible for developing andoptimizing processes to improve safety, quality, and schedule of generatoroutages.
+ Responsible for developingtraining criteria for technicians and engineers on specialized tooling andequipment.
+ Responsible for seeking andimplementing cost savings projects.
+ Support field serviceorganization as technical support or field engineer during peak outageseason when demands dictate.
What You Bring(requirements)
+ Bachelors Degree in MechanicalEngineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
+ Determined and resourceful toachieve goals independently in addition to working well in groups.
+ Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment while prioritizing work for yourself and others, under stricttimelines and being flexible to changing needs. Prior experience withSiemens Energy’s customers, equipment, and processes is a plus!
+ Excellent technical writingskills and effective communication (verbal/written) abilities.
+ Proficient computer skills(Microsoft Office and ability to learn others as needed).
+ Flexibility and willingness fordomestic and international travel 20%.

Our Gas Services
division offers Low-emission power generation through service and
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines
under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities
through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
