The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The CDAO is also responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support the firm's commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management effectively and responsibly.
As a Principal Technical Program/Release Manager at JPMorgan Chase in Chief Data Analytics - Fusion Team, you will lead complex, multi-functional technology projects and programs that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm, including clients, employees, and stakeholders. The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of software releases across environments. This role ensures releases are delivered on time, with minimal disruption, and in alignment with business and technical requirements.
Job responsibilities
+ Develops and manages release schedules, timelines, and milestones in coordination with development, QA, and operations teams.
+ Oversees the end-to-end release process, including planning, build, deployment, and post-release validation.
+ Coordinates release activities across multiple teams and environments, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
+ Identifies, manages, and mitigates risks associated with releases.
+ Maintains release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.
+ Ensures compliance with change management and governance policies.
+ Monitors and report on release status, issues, and metrics to stakeholders.
+ Drives continuous improvement in release processes, tools, and automation.
+ Facilitates release readiness reviews and post-release retrospectives.
+ Supports incident management and troubleshooting for release-related issues.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
+ Proven experience in release management, software deployment, or DevOps.
+ Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
+ Experience with release automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and risk management.
+ Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Jira, Spinnaker, ServiceNow, etc.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
+ Experienced with AWS cloud services, including deployment, management, and optimization of scalable and secure infrastructure.
