How will you make a difference?
The **Marine & Stationary - Systems Engineer** is responsible for development of New Product Introduction (NPI) for marine and stationary engine controllers. The engineer would be responsible for complete development of the product from concept to implementation and validation. This engineer will also work with the M&S systems team to support ongoing projects including requisitions, RM&D, and reliability issues. This engineer will also work closely with the M&S business including service and commercial teams to support business opportunities and our customers.
What do we want to know about you?
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
+ Minimum 10 years professional experience related to the design, validation, application or field service of engine controls systems.
+ Demonstrated understanding related to typical design and validation processes such as FMEA and tollgate-style review with a focus in engine systems and new concept development.
+ Previous experience working with engine systems with detailed understanding of system interactions.
+ Knowledge of DOORS
+ Strong skills in controls requirements development and implementation
+ Desired expertise in medium speed diesel locomotive, marine, and stationary engines.
+ Experience with physics-based analysis tools and techniques.
+ Confident ability to present technical details to an audience of peers, expert reviewers, and executive leadership.
+ Ability to work constructively in a fast-paced, team-based environment and accommodate shifting priorities
+ Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.
+ Desire to mentor, motivate, and contribute to the technical growth of less experienced engineers
+ Willingness to travel (10%)

Candidate must be capable of executing and/or facilitating all phases of product development, including, but not limited to:
+ Concept Development
+ Requirements Development
+ Requirements Traceability
+ Mechanical Packaging
+ Electrical Packaging
+ Compliance to IACS Marine Classification Society requirements
+ Verification/Validation plans
+ Functional implementation of requirements into controls/software
+ Review of implementation
+ ENV/EMC Testing
+ Validation and testing of the product
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $79100-112800 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
