    BluePearl Pet Hospital at Peoria, AZ** **is** **seeking** **a knowledgeable and skilled** **Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced** **I** **nternal** **M** **edicine** **department.

     

    BluePearl Pet Hospital Peoria is growing, and our Internal Medicine service is looking for a skilled, curious, detail-oriented Veterinary Technician who loves complex cases and next-level nursing care.

     

    This role is ideal for techs who want to think, not just do. You’ll work closely with our internal medicine doctor, support advanced diagnostics and procedures, and play a key role in client communication and long-term patient care.

    What you’ll be doing

    + Partnering directly with internal medicine doctors to manage IM patients from intake through discharge

    + Serving as a liaison between doctors and clients (updates, histories, education, follow-ups)

    + Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia

    + Performing advanced nursing care for hospitalized IM patients

    + Setting up and managing CRIs, feeding tubes, oxygen delivery, and parenteral nutrition

    + Assisting with ultrasound, radiology, CT, and endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway)

    + Supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including centesis, biopsies, joint taps, and bone marrow aspirates

    + Performing and submitting advanced diagnostics (endocrine, GI, immune-mediated, coagulation, cultures, etc.)

    + Mentoring students and fellow technicians

    Skills we’re looking for

    + Strong anesthesia, monitoring, and medical math skills

    + Confident phlebotomy and catheter placement (including urinary and long-line/multi-lumen)

    + Comfort with feeding tubes, blood products, and oxygen therapy

    + Solid understanding of internal medicine disease processes and lab interpretation

    + Calm, compassionate patient handling and excellent client communication

    + A team-first mindset and willingness to jump in across services when needed
