    Hours: 30 per week

     

    Start Date: 3/31/2026

     

    Contract Length: Full School Year

    Position Summary

    The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to K–12 students with special needs. Responsibilities include implementing individualized programs, delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial support, and collaborating with general education staff to promote student growth and success.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state or contract regulations

    + At least one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Preferred Certifications:

    + Standard Elementary Teaching

    + Standard Secondary Teaching

    + Standard Special Teaching

    + Preferred Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)

    + Complies with all applicable professional practice standards

    + Current CPR (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate as required by state or contract

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
