Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist
Schedule: 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Assignment Length: Remainder of the 2025–2026 School Year
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher/Intervention Specialist to provide high-quality instructional services to K–12 learners with diverse needs. Under the direction of a Special Education Program Administrator, this educator will deliver individualized instruction, academic interventions, and collaborate closely with general education staff to support student success. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
+ Deliver targeted intervention, tutorial support, and skill-building strategies.
+ Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations.
+ Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, progress reviews, and documentation.
+ Utilize strong classroom management and maintain accurate student records.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ Valid state teaching certificate/licensure as required by state and contract regulations.
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).
+ Preferred certifications:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1).
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.
+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray as required.
+ Current health certificate per state or contract regulation.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
