    Case Manager – Behavioral Health

     

    Pay: $28/hr

     

    Schedule: Mon–Fri 8–4 with one 12–8 shift; rotating weekends

     

    Assignment: 13 weeks, likely to extend

    Overview

    Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking Case Managers to support adults with severe and persistent mental illness in a fast-paced, community-based psychiatric program. This role focuses on treatment planning, client support, and coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide case management and clinical support in the community

    + Develop treatment plans and complete assessments

    + Address goals in the IAP and help clients overcome barriers

    + Teach life skills, support ADLs (non-physical), and assist with appointments, transportation, and coping strategies

    + Maintain clear, timely documentation

    + Average 7 client visits/day; caseload typically 5–8, with contact across a larger client pool

    + Participate in a structured schedule with minimal downtime

    Travel & Safety

    + Frequent driving within a reasonable radius; occasional hospital visits outside the area

    + Safety events are rare; strong team protocols and crisis support available

    + Most environments are familiar; cleanliness is a more common issue than safety

    What We’re Looking For

    + Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

    + Ability to follow supervision and respond appropriately to risk situations

    + Clear documentation style

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

    + 1+ year experience with adults with severe mental illness

    Training

    + Approx. one week of shadowing, adjusted based on experience
