As a Yard Driver for our California Buildings District, you will contribute to our team by:

+ Reports to work on time, ready to work safely and learn.

+ Safely operate flatbed truck.

+ Minimum 2 years’ driving experience

+ Primary job is to shuttle materials from our Yard to our Project sites.

+ Perform Daily inspections and advice supervisor if repairs or maintenance is needed.

+ Checking all fluids on a daily basis.

+ Greasing equipment per manufactures recommendations.

+ Performing required housekeeping in the cab, on the windows and on the exterior of the equipment.

+ Operate equipment safely in close proximity to other equipment and crew members

+ Recognize risks and hazards on the jobsite and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

+ Ensure equipment is operated safely within its capabilities and limitations.

+ Maintain a clean and safe job site.

+ Perform other duties as required.

What you will bring to the role:

+ Must be 18 year of age or older

+ Must have valid drivers license

+ Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in construction preferred

+ Familiar with field concepts, practices and procedures

+ High regard for safety and pride for quality of work

+ Self-motivated and team player

+ Able to multi-task, show initiative and ask questions as needed

+ Able to follow directions to ensure completion of daily tasks

+ Have a high degree of flexibility in a changing environment

+ Must have reliable transportation

+ Strength to perform average lifting of up to 50 pounds, from the ground to above head.

+ Should be able to navigate through the worksite on a daily basis

+ Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and under pressure.

+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

The salary range for this position is between $25-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
