We are looking for an experienced systems engineer that specializes in the controls domain, specifically in the precision pointing aspect of the control systems technology. Details of the skillset needed for this position include deriving the system capabilities to conduct the analysis and development of control algorithms to meet microradian level jitter performance. Critical skills include expertise in Simulink modeling tools using both time domain non-linear modeling and frequency domain analysis tools. Strong experience in developing classical control solutions using frequency domain analysis. Additional desirable experience includes familiarity with State Space systems and manipulation of linearized response models in support of evaluation of mechanical finite element model outputs in eigenvector format and their incorporation into Simulink time domain models. Candidate should also be familiar with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) technology, Inertial Navigation Systems, encoders, resolvers and motors. Candidate should also be familiar with swept sine response evaluations and vibration testing for model validation. Candidate must act in a multidisciplinary role interfacing with optical, mechanical, software and systems engineers.
BAE Systems will staff this role in our Nashua, New Hampshire facility. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor s degree in STEM discipline
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Expertise in Simulink modeling tools using both time domain non-linear modeling and frequency domain analysis tools.
+ Experience with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) technology, and Inertial Navigation Systems,
+ Experience in weapons systems design, missile systems design, or weapons systems performance analysis
+ Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines.
+ Candidate must act in a multidisciplinary role interfacing with optical, mechanical, software and systems engineers.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Ability to Coordinate suppliers and teams in development of passive/active sensor systems for test/evaluation.
+ Assist in the flow down of requirements to testable modular hardware and software.
+ Support trade studies, presentations, proposals and related activities
+ Experience leading technical teams.
+ Ability to understand and generate CONOPS.

+ Develop briefings, white papers, and analysis to support the business capture efforts.
+ Model Based Systems Engineering experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
