Job Description
BAE Systems seeks a motivated junior fullstack web developer to join a fastgrowing and innovative team supporting the Special Operations community. The role focuses on delivering secure, customercentric web solutions and correcting humaninput data errors. The incumbent will work across a diverse technology stack, embed security throughout the development lifecycle, and collaborate with crossfunctional partners to enable missioncritical outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a background in Sharepoint web development, proficient in OData queries, database management, and cloud technology.
+ Primary responsibility will be correcting data input errors such as Errors of Omission/Missing Data, Transcription Errors, Inconsistent Formatting, Incorrect Data Entry leveraging Sharepoint OData queries.
+ Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications using a range of technologies, including React, JavaScript, Golang, C , and SharePoint
+ Develop and manage databases using SQL, with expertise in database design, implementation, and optimization
+ Create web reports using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or custom tools, with a focus on data visualization and insights
+ Work with JSON data formats and implement asset management and tracking systems
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new capabilities into web applications
+ Utilize SheetsJS to create and manage spreadsheets and data analysis tools
+ Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using Azure, AWS, and GCP, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability
Candidate must view cybersecurity with a high degree of importance and bake-in security early and at each stage of the development process. Will apply recognized security standards and security controls, be able to aggregate vendor and industry best security practice and apply them as appropriate, and have a "cyber defense" mindset when
developing or configuring software. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be an expert communicator in verbal and written communication skills. They will be enablers of an overall team and recognize that each part of the team is vital to delivering a customer-centric solution and to exceed customer expectations.
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ High school and at least 4 years of related experience OR Associate degree and at least 2 years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and some related experience
+ Experience in software development and building full stack web applications
+ Proficiency with SharePoint Odata queries or similar RESTful web services such as PostgREST, GraphQL, etc.
+ Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principals and common software tools and security hooks to create a seamless and secure DevSecOps pipeline
+ Understanding of Agile Values and Principles
+ Understanding of the SCRUM framework
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ CompTIA Security or similar DoD 8570/8140, cybersecurity workforce requirement that meets IAT II
+ Relevant software development, SQL, or web application certifications
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
