Job Description
An Insight Global customer in the automotive OEM sector is hiring immediately for a Test Fixture Designer for their propulsion systems plant in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This role will be part of the product development group working alongside a team that works on valve train and propulsion systems. This is a first shift M-F role, 5 days a week onsite.
Compensation Range: $35/hr to $40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in mechanical and machine design
- Proficiency with Solidworks
- Strong knowledge of propulsion systems including internal combustion engines, valvetrain systems, and diesel engines.
- Strong knowledge of materials and material properties
- Strong communicator that is interested working in a collaborative team environment. - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- OEM Automotive experience
