Job Description

• Support the Loan Origination System enhancement project

• Engage quickly with business teams to understand needs and priorities

• Gather, document, and refine requirements (not just write requirements—must understand the business context)

• Manage and refine the product backlog; write user stories with clear acceptance criteria

• Conduct analytics on product performance and support backlog prioritization

• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and Agile ceremonies

• Accept completed stories, coordinate QA validation, documentation, and release notes for product launches

• Act as liaison between Dev, QA, UAT, and business teams

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement

• Ensure backlog aligns with product vision and business goals; support roadmap decisions

• Collaborate between two teams (10 people total: 3rd party origination and consumer direct business). This person will support the consumer direct business

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment

• Mortgage industry background

• Hands-on experience with Encompass (configuration, workflow design, field research; certification not required)

• Proven ability to manage and prioritize product backlogs, write detailed user stories, and drive implementation

• Deep understanding of Agile principles, delivery metrics, and stakeholder management

• Ability to negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Analytical skills for conducting product performance analytics • Experience with Encompass modernization projects
