• Electro-Mechanical Technician - 2nd Shift

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for routine maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This person will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant.

    Day to Day:

    • Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.

    • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)

    • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot & repair electrical, electronic systems, control and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.

    • Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Including but not limited to seals, gaskets and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.

    • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Trade school certification

    • Industrial maintenance experience in heavy automated environment

    • 5 years of experience with mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance

    • 5 years of experience with electrical or electronic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance • Allen Bradley PLC experience

    • Experience working with FANUC (any kind of experience could even be a training or a class)
