Job Description
Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a strong leader that will be accountable for delivering network services and outcomes within North America. Translating global strategy and architecture into effective regional execution, ensuring services meet performance, risk, and cost expectations. A management role, with a low level of hands-on requirement, leading a team of 6 technical engineers to support all aspects related to the effective design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of network systems within the region; including, but not limited to; routers, switches, load-balancers, firewalls, network management, and monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage regional vendors and service providers
• Manage regional risk, compliance, and audit outcomes
• Develop regional delivery plans aligned to global roadmaps
• Ensure adherence to global architecture and standards
• Effectively manage and balance BAU operations with project and transformation work
• Provide reporting on status of services and progress on key initiatives
• Resource capacity management and reporting
• Line manages regional Principal Network Engineer(s), Senior Network Engineer(s) and Network engineer(s)
• Conduct performance management and development planning for all direct reports
• Act as delegate for Director, Global Head of Network Services as required
• Regional network service performance and outcomes
• Regional service stability and customer satisfaction
• Regional vendor relationships and escalation paths
• Execute global strategy within regional business and regulatory constraints
• Provide Regional Network leadership
• Act as the senior regional escalation point for Networks
Represent regional needs into global strategy and architecture discussions

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing senior technical staff.
• 15 years in the industry in an enterprise environment (3000+ users)
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills. (encourage ownership, tracking, resource management, vendor optimization, Lifecyle management for hardware and software, presenting to leadership)
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking (routing/switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, wireless, segmentation, WAN/LAN).
o Technical credibility: challenge engineers, drive decisions, able to exercise judgement in complex operations, assess risk and know when to escalate
• Familiarity with ITIL and service management best practices.
Bachelor’s degree · Global networking environment
Familiar with a highly regulated environment - Insurance, financial, or oil / gas industry
