    Job Description

    A client in the Northwest Houston area is seeking a Project Manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end delivery of cabling and security camera instillations. This role includes planning, scheduling, budgeting, and allocating resources to ensure successful project execution. The Project Manager coordinates closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define requirements, manage expectations, and maintain smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle.

     

    Key responsibilities include supervising installation teams, providing technical guidance, and conducting site surveys to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The role oversees the installation of security camera hardware and ensures proper installation and termination of Cat5 and Cat6 cabling. The Project Manager monitors project progress, troubleshoots issues, and ensures all deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, the position is responsible for preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including status reports and close‑out packages.

     

    The salary range is $65,000-$75,000 depending on experience.

    Skills and Requirements

    Previous experience as a cable technician with strong technical knowledge of cabling systems (fiber, copper, structured cabling). Cat 5 and Cat 6 specifically

     

    Proven experience managing cabling and security system projects from start to finish.

     

    Hands-on experience installing cameras and security hardware.

     

    Strong organizational and communication skills.

     

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

     

    Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
