Job Description:

+ Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures.

+ Prepares and labels solutions and medications used, reporting amounts for charting.

+ Prepares back table and mayo stand, anticipating the needs of the surgeon using the surgeon’s preference card.

+ Provides supplies or equipment upon request for the surgeon, nurses, and/or anesthesiologist. Holds retractors or instruments, sponges or suctions operative site, applies electrocautery to clamps on bleeders, cuts suture material, connects drains to suction apparatus, and applies dressings to a wound.

+ Assists with draping sterile field and covers operating and instrument tables. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation, before incision is closed, and as needed.

High School Grad or Equiv (Required)Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range:

$24.45 - $45.46
