    Job Description:

    + Assesses patient status upon arrival to the PACU and performs ongoing assessments, including respiratory status, O2 saturation, vital signs, dressings, output from foley and drains, and heart rhythms.

    + Recognizes and responds immediately to life-threatening situations according to PACU protocol. Identifies significant changes in patient's condition, reports to anesthesia/head nurse/charge nurse or surgeon, and documents all appropriate actions. Implements the plan of care to assist the patient in returning to the outpatient area or surgical floor unit.

    + Administers medications competently in accordance with hospital and departmental policies. Observes, documents, and reports patients' responses to medications and nursing care in the EMR.

    + Communicates accurate and thorough patient information upon relinquishing care to other healthcare workers.

    + Participates as an effective member of the patient care team to facilitate the efficient operation of the PACU.

    Associate's of Nursing (Required), Bachelor's of NursingRegistered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

    Pay Range:

    $33.28 - $61.91
