Overview
The Senior Strategist, Social Strategy plays a key role in shaping how brands show up across social platforms and digital ecosystems. This role blends social insight, platform expertise, and creative thinking to design content‑driven experiences that meet audience needs and drive measurable business impact.
As a senior individual contributor, the Senior Strategist partners closely with brand strategists, creative teams, account teams, media, and analytics to develop social activations rooted in cultural context, behavioral insights, and platform guidelines. The ideal candidate is highly curious, deeply knowledgeable about digital and social behaviors, and passionate about crafting seamless brand experiences across channels.
This role is hands‑on, collaborative, and central to developing the social strategy foundations that fuel CoLab’s integrated work.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert on social media trends, platform behaviors, and the evolving digital landscape.
• Develop and activate social strategies grounded in audience insight, platform knowledge, and brand objectives.
• Translate insights into clear strategic frameworks, including social personas, content strategies, engagement models, and platform recommendations.
• Support development of digital and social programs, including content planning, tactical recommendations, and experience ecosystem design.
• Create social creative briefs and partner with creative teams to ensure concepts align with platform guidelines, pharma regulations and compliance, and user behavior.
• Collaborate with analytics, media, and monitoring partners to uncover insights that inform and refine social strategy.
• Participate in client meetings to represent social perspective, platform expertise, and strategic recommendations.
• Drive the development of content calendars and channel plans that reflect audience needs, brand goals, and emerging opportunities.
• Chip in to brainstorming sessions, workshops, and cross disciplinary working sessions for both current clients and new business.
• Support the shaping and optimization of omni channel experiences in partnership with brand strategy, engagement, UX, media, and creative teams.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, digital innovations, and cultural shifts that influence how people engage with brands.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in digital strategy, social media strategy, digital marketing, or related fields.
• Experience working in healthcare or regulated categories is a plus (HCP or consumer).
• Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, channel roles, and how audiences navigate across ecosystems.
• Ability to analyze social data, platform performance, and behavioral insights to inform strategy.
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clarity.
• Experience developing content strategies, social briefs, and tactical plans.
• Familiarity with community and content management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Netbase, Sysomos, Sprinklr, Spredfast).
• Knowledge of digital tactics including web, email, mobile, and paid social.
• Strong collaboration skills with experience partnering across account, creative, UX, strategy, and media teams.
• Highly self‑motivated, proactive, and resourceful; thrives in fast‑paced and distributed team environments.
• Demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories that move ideas forward and engage clients.
• BA/BS degree required; advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation Range: $79.990.00 - $125,925.00 anual. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
