    Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer II in Charlotte, NC! In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

    Where is the work:

    + On-Site (5 days). The company has designated this role as safety sensitive.

    What you will do:

    + Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.

    + Develop, evaluate, and improve assembly methods for remanufactured and new compressors, compressor motors, and machined parts production.

    + Coordinate the design and building of tooling and equipment to support production.

    + Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.

    + Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.

    + Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.

    + Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.

    + Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

    + Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

    What you will bring:

    + Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines. High school diploma or equivalent required

    + 5+ years manufacturing experience preferably in hermetic motor manufacturing

    + Previous experience with electric motors and compressors is highly desirable.

    + Experience with Oracle, Windchill, AutoCAD or Inventor is preferred.

    + CNC lathe/CNC grinder experience a plus

    + Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.

    + Deep analytical and problem solving skills

    + Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.
