Ford Racing is looking for an experienced, talented, and highly motivated Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join our Powertrain department, located in Allen Park, Michigan. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic environment, developing and manufacturing cutting edge powertrains to race around the world.

What you'll do...
+ Support the delivery of high quality and reliable powertrain components for all Ford Racing motorsport programs (F1, LMDh, GT3 / GT4 Mustang, etc)
+ Design and optimize build files to deliver high quality and stable production
+ Support production readiness of all DMLS/LPBF equipment, processes and materials to deliver Ford Racing powertrain programs
+ Work with AM equipment manufacturers to maintain machinery compliance and health
+ Develop process parameters to optimize material properties, surface finish and production timing
You'll have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, materials or manufacturing preferred)
+ 3+ years of hands-on and operational experience of DMLS / LPBF equipment (Nikon SLM, Additive Industries, EOS, etc)
+ Working knowledge of process parameters and impact to quality and throughput
+ 3+ years of experience designing and slicing builds utilizing industry standard software (Materialise Magics, 3DXpert, nTop, etc)
+ Familiar with engine architecture and powertrain systems
+ Highly detail oriented
+ Strong communication skills
Even better, you may have...
+ Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, materials or manufacturing preferred
+ 5+ years of experience with DMLS / LPBF process parameter development (optics, dosing, gas flow, etc)
+ 5+ years of DMLS build/support design and optimization
+ Strong team player and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility aggressive program timing
+ Possess a competitive spirit, and interest in professional motorsports
+ International and Domestic travel may be required

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
