    Senior consultant to all lines of business (LOBs) providing solutions that support the development of complex products and services which complement a sound and functional platform for processing Truist's Deposit Operations applications.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

     

    1. Senior consultant to Deposit Operations and other related LOBs for identifying business and functional requirements and developing solutions.

    2. Serve as line of business subject matter expert for Deposit Operations and other banking and financial support systems.

    3. Perform a complete functional analysis and requirements definition for our technical partners to support the development and delivery of solutions.

    4. Formulate new and innovative strategic solutions to complex and challenging application and product designs.

    5. Review the development of comprehensive technical specifications for the creation and maintenance of innovative and competitive product lines for Retail, Small Business and Commercial Product Management.

    6. Evaluate and augment controls providing accurate accounting of all Deposit Operations financial information. Assist in the development of automated balancing and settlement processes along with optimum testing and quality assurance procedures.

    7. Advocate changes to Deposit Operations Systems that support the management directives of Deposit Operations.

    8. Serve as first line of defense to ensure all risk management practices are adhered to for Deposit Operations systems.

    9. Communicate to the Deposit and Operations Services Support Group Manager the status of project efforts and overall application stability, anticipating and identifying potential issues and areas of risk and ways to remediate.

    10. Implement business tasks independently and may coordinate activities of others on the team if needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in computer/business-related field, or equivalent education and related training

    2. Strong knowledge of banking systems

    3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of management and staff levels

    4. Strong knowledge of systems development methodology

    5. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects, including the management of resources and timelines to meet required goals and objectives

    6. Strong technical and financial business knowledge with the ability to define and express complex technical/financial concepts in terms compatible with applicable business/technical unit

    7. Excellent team player dedicated to the principles of collaborative solutions

    8. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Eight years of successful systems support and development with project management experience in a banking environment

    2. Strong knowledge of the basic principles of project management
