    A DAY IN THE LIFE

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for the central underwriting of mortgages, direct and indirect consumer loans, home equities, mobile home loans, and instant money lines. You will assist customers and branch staff by reviewing and analyzing credit and loan applications to make appropriate decisions within Bank guidelines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    + Upon receipt of application, perform all underwriting requirements for loans that will kept in portfolio, sold on secondary market, or put in REIT and enter into appropriate software systems in a timely manner.

    + Obtain and review the appraisal and all required documentation from the Branch/Loan Originator to support the AU findings. Complete the URAR Appraisal Desk Review form and ensure any issues on the appraisal are resolved.

    + Work closely with the Loan Originators to provide assistance in regard to product knowledge, pricing and file requirements. Maintain communication with the Loan Originators on loan status in a timely manner.

    + Perform central underwriting of mortgages, direct and indirect consumer loans, home equities, mobile home loans, instant money lines. Insure loan decisions are consistent with policy, and search for creative solutions.

    + Perform closing of home equity loans as volume or coverage needs dictate.
