    About the Role:

    The National Retail Partners- Chicago team was formed in 1996. Since its formation, the team has become recognized as a leader within both CBRE and the industry, having sold over 1,400 properties with gross consideration in excess of $20 billion. Property types include power, community and neighborhood shopping centers, regional malls, specialty centers and unanchored strip centers in primary, secondary and tertiary markets nationally with and emphasis on the Midwest.

     

    NRP – Chicago is seeking a financial analyst that will be an integral part of this team and will report directly to the teams partners, that specialize in primary and institutional grade multi-tenant retail centers. This person will be involved in many aspects of the underwriting and marketing process and obtain/maintain key market information that is crucial to the success of our business. It is important that this person be able to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a high-energy environment. Greater details on various responsibilities are listed below:

    What You’ll Do:

    FINANCIAL UNDERWRITING

    • Perform complex financial analyses including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses

    • Build customized Argus and Excel models for Broker Opinion of Value assignments.

    • Scrub detailed Argus models for nationwide offering memorandums.

    • Evaluate due diligence materials including leases, financial statements and other documents related to the operation of commercial real estate assets.

    • Work closely with financial analysts of clients to coordinate closing process and all relevant financial documentation between buyers and sellers.

    • Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into project specific deliverables

    MARKETING

    • Prepare proposals and offering materials for assignments and pursuits utilizing effective work planning.

    • Assist with preparation of presentation and pitch materials for new business pursuits.

    • Collaborate with CBRE’s marketing department and 3 rd parties to build materials for offerings and pitches.

    • Pursue new prospects via team’s proprietary Salesforce software.

    • Help organize team processes and large work volume.

    • Research demographics, market trends, and additional market information as needed by deal.

    What You’ll Need:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with exceptional academic credentials

    • 0-2 years of work experience in Finance or Commercial Real Estate

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables

    • Ability to work independently and within a team on a wide variety of projects

    • Ability to work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload

    • Comfort with handling multiple projects at once and ability to move quickly between deals

    • Experience valuing multiple types of commercial real estate including Office, Industrial, Retail, Land

    • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software

    • Proficiency with Argus and InDesign is a plus but may not be required for the right candidate

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Finance Analyst position is $65,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance Analyst position is $75,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
