• Associate Technician - Surfacing

    Adecco is recruiting for an **Associate Technician – Surfacing** for a client in **East Syracuse, NY** . This position is **temp-to-hire** , paying **$17/hour** , with a **Monday–Friday, 3:30pm–12:00am** schedule.

     

    This role supports the **early stages of lens production** , focusing on **precision-based surfacing operations** . The Associate Technician in Surfacing works with multiple stations throughout the department to ensure lenses are prepared accurately and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare lenses for surfacing, including de-boxing, taping, and tray setup

    + Operate surfacing-related equipment such as taping machines, blockers, generators, and polishers

    + Read barcodes and follow numerical sequencing to ensure lenses move correctly through production

    + Hand wash, de-block, and inspect lenses for cosmetic accuracy

    + Move between workstations throughout the shift to support production flow

    + Wear required PPE including lab coat, goggles, and gloves

    + Follow written work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards

    Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong manual dexterity and precision-oriented work style

    + Detail-oriented with the ability to follow written work instructions in English

    + Ability to understand numerical sequencing and barcode-based workflows

    + Good eyesight and attention to detail

    + Ability to stand and move throughout the shift; lifting up to 10–20 lbs as needed

    + Reliable, punctual, and available for overtime as required

    **Pay Details:** $17.00 per hour
