Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing lumber products for shipment by accurately applying shipping labels and ensuring outgoing orders meet quality and customer service standards. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, strong math skills, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Methodically apply shipping labels to lumber products to ensure accurate identification and delivery
+ Verify shipping information, quantities, and measurements for accuracy
+ Perform basic math calculations related to counts, weights, and shipments
+ Maintain a steady workflow while performing repetitive labeling tasks
+ Inspect products for damage prior to shipment
+ Coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to meet daily shipping deadlines
+ Provide courteous and professional customer service when interacting with internal teams and customers
+ Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
+ May also complete some duties in receiving
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Good math skills with strong attention to detail
+ At least 1 year previous shipping/receiving, warehouse, & clerical experience preferred
+ Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
+ Good customer service and communication skills
+ Ability to stand, walk, and handle materials quickly and repetitively throughout the shift
+ Must be open to learning new processes
+ Great attitude a MUST
Work Environment
+ Warehouse or manufacturing setting
+ Repetitive motions and handling of lumber products
**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
