Job Title: Powder Coater** **Job Description

Join a dynamic fabrication shop as a Powder Coater, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality finishes on structural components. Your work will support the production of re-bars, structural beams, and staircase railings, contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

+ Set up paint booth and prepare for painting processes.

+ Hang pieces to be prepared for painting and bake them after cleaning and painting.

+ Paint parts in a large booth and inspect painted units to ensure efficient coverage.

+ Inspect incoming parts, sanding down pieces as needed to prepare them for painting.

+ Hand spray parts to cover unpainted areas or apply rust preventative.

+ Perform additional tasks as needed, supporting the overall operations in the fabrication shop.

+ Participate in 2-3 months of training to become proficient in all necessary processes.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in powder coating and ability to use a tape measure.

+ Mechanical aptitude with skills in painting, powder coating, injection molding, troubleshooting, and maintenance repair.

+ Knowledge of industrial paint preparation, hydraulics, pneumatics, structure coating, and use of sprayers.

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in manufacturing.

+ Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of fabrication processes.

+ Experience in powder coating and fabrication is a plus.

Work Environment

The Powder Coater will work independently or with assistance when needed, in a large room housing the oven, paint booth, and clean sprayer. This area is not climate-controlled, resulting in high temperatures during both summer and winter due to the oven's heat output. The environment is loud, requiring the use of long gloves, a face mask (not a respirator), and steel-toed shoes for safety.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
