Job Title: EstimatorJob Description
The Mid-Level Estimator is responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, encompassing mechanical, structural, and equipment installation scopes. This role demands strong technical knowledge, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and experience in an industrial contracting environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, efficient, and capable of managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
Responsibilities
+ Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects.
+ Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
+ Manage and prepare multiple estimates simultaneously.
+ Engage in bidding for self-perform projects and prepare proposals.
+ Utilize estimating software to perform takeoffs and pricing.
Essential Skills
+ 7 years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or heavy commercial estimating.
+ Proficiency in estimation, bidding, and using estimating software.
+ Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, including piping, structural steel, equipment installation, and plant shutdown work.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in project management and cost estimation.
+ Familiarity with Bluebeam software.
Work Environment
The work environment consists of 75% office-based tasks and 25% on-site work. The position is local to the greater Richmond region, minimizing travel requirements. The company offers an opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization with plans to double in size by 2026 and maintains a recurring client base in the area.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
