Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant OBGYN
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and professional Certified Medical Assistant to join our OBGYN team. You will play a crucial role in greeting patients warmly, managing their electronic health records accurately, and maintaining a well-stocked examination and triage area. This position involves scheduling and confirming appointments, preparing patient charts, and ensuring all referrals and authorizations are in place before visits.
Responsibilities
+ Greet patients courteously and escort them to examination rooms.
+ Accurately document patient information in electronic health records.
+ Maintain and stock examination rooms and triage areas with necessary medical supplies.
+ Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as necessary.
+ Prepare patient charts, including creating new ones and ensuring all documentation is complete.
+ Assist with scheduling residents’ clinics where appropriate.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
+ A minimum of 1 year of experience in women’s health is preferred.
+ Proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically All Scripts.
+ Basic life support certification (CPR) is preferred.
+ Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in OBGYN, reproductive medicine, and fertility is advantageous.
+ Strong computer skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Work Environment
The position requires working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. You must be open to occasional travel, less than once a week. The role involves working with 3-5 providers alongside another medical assistant. The patient flow includes seeing 16 patients in the morning and 15 in the afternoon. Conservative solid color scrubs are required as attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
