    Job Title: Accounting Specialist

    Job Description

    Join our team as an Accounting Specialist and become an integral part of the ONE ERP project team. In this role, you will support accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency across key accounting areas including transfer pricing, vehicle cost management, inventory, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and month-end closing.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete financial accounting, analysis, and reporting tasks on time, adhering to company policies and procedures.

    + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

    + Assist in consolidations and reporting for internal stakeholders.

    + Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation.

    + Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

    + Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial periods and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve closing issues.

    + Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

    + Ensure compliance with internal controls and IFRS accounting policies.

    + Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation in compliance with local and international regulations.

    + Provide support for intercompany transaction analysis and ensure consistent implementation of appropriate pricing methodologies.

    + Track and analyze vehicle-related expenses including material costs, labor, and overhead.

    + Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and reconcile vehicle cost accounts.

    + Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and balances, ensuring accurate valuation of inventory.

    + Assist in physical inventory counts and variance analysis.

    + Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation.

    + Process asset additions, disposals, and transfers, and support periodic asset audits.

    + Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances and reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger.

    + Prepare ageing reports and assist with credit risk assessments.

    + Prepare quality process documentation and participate in process improvement initiatives and system upgrades.

    + Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in accounting principles, Excel, and SAP.

    + Strong planning skills and experience in transfer pricing, fixed asset, cost accounting, and general ledger.

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

    + 5-10 years of accounting experience in public or general manufacturing.

    + Ability to question the reasonableness of journal entries, account balances, and potential impacts on financial statements.

    + Ability to analyze financials and provide valid explanations for variances.

    + Comprehension and compliance with division policies, procedures, and operations.

    + Project management skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Background in accounts payable is beneficial.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is within an Auto OEM open office setting, fostering collaboration and communication among team members.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $51.50/hr.
