We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Solid works Drafter to join our team in drafting heat exchangers and cooling systems for battery-operated flight systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting, with a strong understanding of materials, measurements, and fabrication processes for industrial products. This role involves creating precise technical drawings, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring all designs meet safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with engineers, R&D - Lab, and systems engineer teams to ensure design accuracy.
+ Develop new product designs and upgrade existing drawings.
+ Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
+ Ensure compliance with documentation and appropriate codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
+ Assist in estimating material quantities and costs for custom designs.
+ Support the development for R&D and Lab by designing for lab testing, test fixtures, prototypes, test equipment, and test stands.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Solid works with at least 2 years of experience.
+ Strong understanding of design and drafting processes.
+ Experience in drafting with an understanding of materials, measurements, and fabrication processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate-level degree is preferred but not mandatory.
+ Open to candidates with a 4-year degree or no degree.
+ MIL specs knowledge is a plus.
+ Enthusiastic personality and ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
Work Environment
Work in a creative R&D lab environment where new technologies and products are developed. The team is small, providing opportunities for growth and collaboration. The role supports the development of battery-powered flying drones for passenger transport over short distances. Dress code is casual, and the atmosphere encourages innovative thinking.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
