    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

    Job Description

    Join a leading facility in Anderson, Indiana, known for manufacturing engine and chassis components for the heavy trucking industry. Our plant specializes in producing metal components and sub-assemblies through machining, assembly, and casting of ductile iron and aluminum. We are in a growth phase with multiple new projects, increasing our business significantly over the next few years. We are seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer to be part of this exciting journey.

    Responsibilities

    + Keep the manufacturing process running smoothly and efficiently.

    + Troubleshoot machine issues and perform machine setups as needed.

    + Work from concept to completion on creating new parts for customers and editing existing parts, including those transferred from sister facilities.

    + Make plant layout adjustments and relocate equipment within the plant to accommodate new business.

    + Define tooling and program machinery for new customer parts based on provided prints.

    + Engage in daily huddles with the engineering manager, automation engineer, and other manufacturing engineers.

    + Travel occasionally for short trips, potentially up to a week, to our Pennsylvania plant.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-7+ years of experience with metal machining in a production environment.

    + Proficiency in CNC Programming, with a strong preference for MasterCam.

    + Ability to fully set up CNC machines, with a focus on Mills (75%) and Lathes (25%).

    + Experience in conducting root cause analysis for process improvements.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + An associate's or bachelor's degree within an engineering discipline is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    You will work Monday through Friday from 6 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime as project deadlines approach. Our facility provides a comfortable and temperature-controlled CNC shop environment, with room for expansion. The team is currently small, with 25 employees, but is expected to grow significantly. When not on the floor, you will work in an office setting alongside other engineers. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, growth, and enjoying the process of working together.

    This is a Contract position based out of Anderson, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.88/hr.
