Job Description

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's direction, leading a team to achieve excellence in engineering projects and operations.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as a member of the management team to effectuate the company’s direction.
+ Manage and mentor a team of 6, including Design Engineers, Office Engineers, and Programmers/Machinists.
+ Oversee department operations, ensuring organization, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
+ Assume full responsibility for all engineering projects and personnel.
+ Ensure adherence to and creation of engineering procedures and work instructions.
+ Achieve departmental objectives and complete projects within budget and time frame.
+ Focus product development on meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
+ Drive continuous improvement projects and tooling initiatives.
+ Ensure correct creation, storage, and entry of all digital data into the ERP system.
+ Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain robust processes.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing from start to finish.
+ Plan and manage current projects while preparing for upcoming pipeline requirements.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
+ Formulate and implement long-term objectives and performance standards for the engineering department.
Essential Skills
+ At least 3 years of experience in a management role and 5 years in manufacturing engineering.
+ Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to develop talent and build a department.
+ Proficiency in delivering projects from start to finish and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Experience in machining, CNC programming, and continuous improvement.
+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial preferred).
+ Knowledge of CNC programming and machining operations.
+ Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Understanding of delivery timelines and pipeline planning.
+ Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, and problem-solving skills.
+ Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Strong business-related computer skills including Microsoft Office and various CAD products.
Work Environment
This role is fully on-site from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The work environment is usually moderate in noise level and operates under ISO 9001:2015 standards, leveraging cutting-edge technology, including robotic machining centers and CNC systems.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfield, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
Retirement Savings 401(k): As a GPR employee, you will be eligible to participate in the Retirement Savings Plan in accordance with the provisions of the plan then in effect.
