Job Title: Rigger** **Job Description
Join our team as a Rigger, where you will play a crucial role in loading and unloading cargo on and off ships. You will work with various equipment such as chain falls, pulleys, and winches, and perform necessary repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Load and unload cargo on and off ships safely and efficiently.
+ Operate chain falls, pulleys, and winches to assist with cargo handling.
+ Perform repairs on chain falls, pulleys, and winches as needed.
+ Secure, fasten, and lock chains, ropes, and equipment to ensure safety.
+ Read and interpret blueprints to execute tasks accurately.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using rigging equipment such as pulleys, winches, and chain falls.
+ Ability to secure, fasten, and lock chains, ropes, and knots effectively.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
+ Capability to read and interpret prints.
+ Eligibility for OSHA and DBIDS certifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as a Boatswain's Mate is a plus.

Work Environment
Work outdoors in a bustling shipyard environment at locations such as BAE, NOB, and/or MHI. The role requires resilience and adaptability to various weather conditions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
