Welder Mechanic

Job Description

Join a well-established truck company, founded in 1978, as a Welder Mechanic. This full-line distributor specializes in light, medium, and heavy-duty truck equipment and parts. We are seeking two skilled mechanic welders to become part of our team and contribute positively to our stable business.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.

+ Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.

+ Build, repair, and install truck bodies including chassis, dump bodies, flatbeds, snow plows, and interior vans.

+ Work autonomously with the support of a team.

+ Handle variable welding tasks which may range from 0% to 100% of the workday.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with MIG welding.

+ Knowledge of automotive mechanics, including truck bodies.

+ Ability to read mechanical/electrical blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Basic electrical troubleshooting.

+ Experience with automotive electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and diesel repair.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and using a toolbox.

Work Environment

Work in a job shop environment with multiple truck lines for repair and refurbishment. The first shift runs from 7 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 7 AM to 2:30 PM on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
