    Hiring a PLC Maintenance Technician in Umatilla, FL!!!

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled **PLC Maintenance Technician** to perform electrical and automation‑focused maintenance on manufacturing equipment at our Umatilla facility. This role involves troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining PLC‑controlled machinery, and supporting both reactive and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. You will work within CMMS systems, complete digital work orders, and uphold GMP and safety standards.

     

    Schedule & Pay-

    Shift:

    3:00 PM to 11:30 Monday through Friday, with frequent Saturdays and Sundays.

    Pay:

    $25–$35 per hour

    Responsibilities

    + Perform reactive and preventative electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation

    + Troubleshoot and repair equipment using PLCs, automation systems, electrical schematics, and diagnostic tools

    + Work within CMMS systems, completing work orders and documenting repairs using a tablet

    + Maintain GMP practices and support compliance with electrical and safety standards

    + Service and maintain equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, control panels, sensors, VFDs, and other automated machinery

    Essential Skills

    + Strong experience reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical and automation systems

    + Industrial maintenance experience with emphasis on electrical and PLC‑based repairs

    + Hands‑on experience with PLC platforms (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc preferred)

    + Mechanically inclined with solid electrical, blueprint, and diagnostic skills

    + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical maintenance

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of industrial or electrical maintenance experience

    + Strong electrical maintenance experience with PLC troubleshooting capability

    + High school diploma or GED required

    + Experience in manufacturing or automated production environments

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a manufacturing setting with both climate‑controlled and non‑climate‑controlled areas. Conditions may vary from hot to cold depending on the season, and some areas may be wet or humid. Expect hands‑on electrical and automation work across a variety of equipment and production lines.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Umatilla, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
