    Job Title: Surveillance Inspector

    Job Description

    The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of aircraft engines, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with FAA/EASA regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards. This position plays a critical role in certifying that all work performed is airworthy and properly documented before release.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct in-process and final inspections of engine components, modules, and assemblies.

    + Verify compliance with technical manuals, service bulletins (SBs), and airworthiness directives (ADs).

    + Review and sign off on inspection records, work orders, and maintenance release documentation.

    + Ensure conformity with FAA/EASA Part 145 requirements and internal quality procedures.

    + Support audits, corrective action investigations, and regulatory compliance efforts.

    + Use precision measuring equipment and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, borescopes, gauges).

    + Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances to Quality Assurance.

    + Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Customer Service on quality-related issues.

    + Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure proper traceability of parts and materials.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality inspection expertise.

    + **Experience with CFM56, V2500, or CF6 engines.**

    + Strong knowledge of aircraft engine/component repair processes.

    + Familiarity with AMM, CMM, SBs, and ADs.

    + Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection documentation systems.

    + Ability to perform and certify borescope inspections.

    + Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    + Regulatory compliance focus (FAA/EASA).

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Clear communication and documentation accuracy.

    + Ability to handle high responsibility for safety and quality.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.

    + FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Repairman Certificate strongly preferred.

    + 5+ years of inspection experience in an FAA/EASA Part 145 MRO environment.

    + Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
