    Job Title: Electrician

    Job Description

    As an electrician, you will be responsible for roughing in conduit and wiring new commercial buildings based on plans and prints provided by the general contractor. You will terminate wires at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays. You will wire instruments controlling power, lighting, and heating units in buildings, as well as provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units. You will utilize various tools such as power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

    Responsibilities

    + Rough in conduit and wiring for new commercial buildings.

    + Terminate wires at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays.

    + Wire instruments controlling power, lighting, and heating units.

    + Provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units.

    + Use power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

    Essential Skills

    + Commercial experience in bending conduit or pipe and running wire.

    + Safety-oriented with OSHA certification.

    + Proficiency with saws, drills, utility knives, ohmmeters, and testing tools.

    + Experience with pulling wire, wiring, bending conduit, and construction.

    + Knowledge of 480V systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

    + Experience with 227V systems.

    + Skills in rigid conduit, pulling wire, pipe bending, and outlet wiring.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in industrial and commercial plant settings, with the company providing hard hats and safety vests. The role requires climbing ladders and emphasizes safety and communication to prevent injuries.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Tonawanda, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
