    Job Title: Press Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking skilled Press Technicians to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with transfer and progressive stamping dies and managing Fargo 2500 Transfer presses. The successful candidates will ensure the smooth operation of these machines while collaborating with operators and die setters.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate Fargo 2500 Transfer presses.

    + Collaborate with die setters and guide operators in running the presses efficiently.

    + Set up feeder systems and coils to maintain continuous operation.

    + Perform basic preventative maintenance, including changing oils and filters.

    + Utilize computer software for basic tasks and complete downtime and other reports.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience with progressive and transfer presses.

    + Proficient in machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to coordinate with operators, manage part loading/unloading, inspection, and packing.

    + Basic math skills for problem-solving.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in preventative maintenance on presses.

    + Knowledge of scrap control and defect identification.

    + Understanding of stroke speed and shunt heights.

    + Previous Crane & Hi Lo certification is a plus.

    Work Environment

    Work in an established stamping and robotic weld facility equipped with 42 presses and robots. The environment requires safety gear such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and sleeves. The facility operates on two shifts, with opportunities available on both the 1st shift (6 am - 2 pm) and 2nd shift (2 pm - 10 pm), Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays based on production demands.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Line, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.59 - $22.59/hr.
