    Electrician for MCC/E-House Assembly

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled electricians to wire skid-mounted E-houses and Motor Control Centers. You will be responsible for installing control panels, transformers, running conduit and cable trays, and terminating wires. While initial guidance on running prints will be provided, you are expected to work independently on wiring units and components.

    Responsibilities

    + Wire up skid-mounted E-houses and Motor Control Centers.

    + Install control panels and transformers.

    + Run conduit and cable trays, and terminate wires.

    + Read and interpret assembly and electrical schematic drawings.

    + Assist experienced electricians and follow safety protocols.

    + Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and standing for 8 to 12 hours a day.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 to 3 years of experience for Entry-Level, 3 to 6 years for Mid-Level, and 7 to 15 years for high-Level.

    + Proficiency in E-house and MCC assembly, control skid assembly, and control system enclosures.

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic and mechanical drawings.

    + Experience with cutting, pulling, and terminating cables, including 15KV (TJB), Cold shrink (3M), 480V, and control cable.

    + Strong knowledge of safety protocols.

    + Leadership and mentoring skills for High-Level roles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, socket sets, pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers, channel locks, and measuring tape.

    + Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

    + Able to work independently with minimal supervision for Mid-Level and High-Level positions.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes a mix of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas, requiring adaptability to both hot and cold conditions. The standard shift runs from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours until 6:30pm and some Saturdays. Safety gear, including steel-toed boots, is mandatory.

    This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr.
