Job Posting Summary – Test / Debug Technician
**We are seeking a detail-oriented Test / Debug Technician** to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic systems used in government and defense-related applications. This role is responsible for identifying hardware and electrical issues, performing functional and environmental tests, and ensuring products meet strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electronics, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work within controlled, process-driven environments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring mission-ready electronic equipment through accurate testing, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Performing functional, diagnostic, and acceptance testing on electronic assemblies and systems
• Troubleshooting and debugging circuit-level and system-level failures
• Using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators
• Documenting test results, failures, and corrective actions in accordance with government standards
• Supporting engineering with root cause analysis and re-test verification
• Following ESD, safety, and quality procedures in a regulated environment
Work Environment:
• Electronics lab and production settings
• Compliance with government, military, or aerospace quality requirements
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
