    Job Title: Environmental Technician** **Job Description

     

    The Environmental Technician will primarily be responsible for repairing and calibrating environmental equipment while developing strong relationships with customers. This role involves 60% technical work on the equipment and 40% customer service tasks. Our company rents handheld environmental testing equipment, such as devices for air quality, soil sampling, and water analysis, to various clients. The technician will directly interface with these clients and ensure the equipment is in optimal condition.

    Responsibilities

    + Calibrate and repair environmental equipment.

    + Enter data related to equipment calibration.

    + Write detailed technical reports.

    + Purchase equipment necessary for repairs.

    + Manage shipping and receiving of equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of experience in environmental work or calibrating and troubleshooting machinery/equipment.

    + 1+ year of customer service experience.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on technical writing.

    + Ability to multitask effectively.

    + Familiarity with Excel and Microsoft Office.

    + Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks, including cleaning and calibrating equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

    + Experience with hand tools.

    Work Environment

    Work in a small, warehouse-like environment with an open space shared by 3-4 colleagues. The atmosphere is business casual, and jeans are acceptable, fostering a relaxed yet professional setting. The work can be fast-paced during peak times, but typically follows an 8:15 am to 5:15 pm schedule with an hour for lunch.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
