Job Description

Join a team dedicated to producing high-quality sweet potato chips fried in avocado oil, free from the top 9 most common allergens. As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing various operations, including Alpma machines, brine systems, and filling forms. You will ensure cleanliness and sanitation while maintaining our high standards.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate high-speed packaging machines for chip production.

+ Perform minor troubleshooting to identify machine stoppages or jams and determine if maintenance is needed.

+ Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.

+ Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.

+ Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of machine operating experience at the same company.

+ Experience with high-speed manufacturing and packaging machines.

+ Minor troubleshooting skills.

+ Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

+ Familiarity with filling and packaging machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of machine operating experience (GMP preferred).

+ Experience adjusting feeds and speeds.

+ Change over experience.

+ Basic troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

Work 3rd shift hours from 10 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional weekend overtime. The facility is clean and temperature-controlled, with a pleasant aroma of French fries. Adhere to GMP standards, including wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
