Job Title: 3rd Shift General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual to take a lead position for the 3rd shift, providing problem-solving capabilities and ensuring team accountability. The ideal candidate will manage daily expectations independently without needing to consult the operations manager.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machinery used to process, grind, dry, and package corncob materials.
+ Handle raw corncob inputs stored indoors for cleanliness and moisture control.
+ Follow established procedures to produce consistent, high-quality outputs for multiple industries.
+ Conduct routine inspections of materials to ensure they are free from contaminants, mold, or moisture.
+ Assist in the company’s rigorous testing and quality-assurance processes.
+ Document quality checks and report variations or equipment issues.
+ Set up, operate, and clean production equipment safely.
+ Perform basic preventive maintenance and alert supervisors to mechanical problems.
+ Adhere to all workplace safety regulations, PPE usage, and material-handling standards.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly production environment.
+ Work collaboratively with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
+ Support loading for in-house trucking when needed to meet delivery timelines.

Work Environment
This role involves working on the 3rd shift from 11pm-7am, with the option to work 40-60 hours and weekends available for extra hours. The environment is industrial and hands-on, requiring physical labor, machinery operation, and logistics. The team size is approximately 7, fostering close working relationships in a small team setting with around 45 employees at the Rock Falls location.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
