Job Description: Full Charge Bookkeeper
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee our company’s day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for the full cycle of bookkeeping duties, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, preparing financial statements, and verifying the accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee and perform all daily bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
+ Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
+ Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
+ Record adjusting journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
+ Manage sales tax, property tax, and other relevant filings as required.
+ Work closely with management to provide financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
+ Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external accountants as needed.
+ Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files in accordance with company policies.
+ Identify process improvements and support implementation of best practices.
Requirements
Requirements:
+ Proven experience in a full charge bookkeeper role, managing all aspects of company accounting.
+ Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable platforms.
+ Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
