    Robert Half Accountemps (Federal Way, WA)


    Description

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting and administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone with foundational accounting knowledge who enjoys working with data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a busy accounting team.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

    + Enter invoices, payments, and journal entries into the accounting system

    + Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts

    + Maintain organized financial records and documentation

    + Assist with month-end close activities as needed

    + Support payroll processing and employee expense reports

    + Respond to vendor and internal accounting inquiries

    + Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting

    Requirements

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred

    + 1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience

    + Basic understanding of accounting principles

    + Experience with accounting software or ERP systems

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic Office applications

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    + Experience with AP/AR and invoice processing

    + Familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar systems

    + Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment
