Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Napa, California. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and accuracy of a dynamic wine organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing financial records and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of transactions.

• Manage the general ledger and ensure entries are properly recorded.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Collaborate with team members to complete month-end close procedures efficiently.

• Utilize NetSuite and other accounting software to manage financial data effectively.

• Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support decision-making.

• Develop and implement process improvements for accounting tasks.

• Assist in audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the wine industry.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries.

• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
