Description

We are looking for an experienced Water Law Attorney to join a dynamic and well-established law firm in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers the opportunity to work with institutional clients and contribute to a thriving legal department as a senior associate or partner. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in water rights and natural resources law, while collaborating closely with senior partners to deliver exceptional legal services. This is a hybrid role with great growth potential.

Responsibilities:

• Represent institutional clients in legal matters related to water rights and natural resources law.

• Draft and review motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather necessary evidence and information.

• Provide legal analysis and strategic advice to clients on complex water law issues.

• Attend hearings and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.

• Collaborate with senior partners to support case development and client relationship management.

• Manage civil litigation cases from initiation to resolution.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all legal proceedings.

• Contribute to succession planning efforts within the department.

• Stay updated on changes in water law and natural resources legislation.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid attorney license in the State of Arizona (or be able to waive in) and be in good standing.

• Minimum of six years of relevant experience in water rights or natural resources law.

• Demonstrated expertise in civil litigation processes and procedures.

• Skilled in drafting legal motions, briefs, and other formal documents.

• Proficiency in conducting discovery and analyzing gathered information.

• Strong knowledge of water law and natural resources regulations.

• Ability to attend hearings and effectively represent clients.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and internal teams.
