    Job Description: Part-Time Tax Specialist (1+ Year Experience, Onsite)

    Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our CPA firm in a part-time, onsite capacity. This position offers 20–30 hours per week and the opportunity to work directly with individual and business clients, supporting them with their tax needs. The ideal candidate has at least one year of tax experience and is looking to develop their skills in a client-focused, professional environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and review individual and business tax returns under the guidance of senior staff.

    + Assist clients with tax questions and provide support during tax season and throughout the year.

    + Organize and maintain client tax records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

    + Conduct initial analysis of client financial data to identify potential tax deductions and credits.

    + Communicate with clients to collect necessary information and documents for tax filings.

    + Respond to client inquiries and support resolution of basic tax issues.

    + Stay updated on relevant tax regulations and firm policies.

    + Participate in team meetings, training, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience; prior experience in a CPA firm or similar environment preferred.

    + Basic understanding of federal and state tax concepts for individuals and businesses.

    + Familiarity with major tax software platforms.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; current students or candidates with comparable experience considered.

    + Willingness to work onsite in a professional office environment.
